Kia ora everyone, my name is Amandeep but everyone calls me Aman. I started working at 4woods Early Learning Centre in 2012. I have completed my Bachelor of Teaching and Diploma in Early Childhood Education through the Waiariki Institute in Rotorua. I am passionate about teaching children and enjoy doing new things alongside the children. I believe children are our future; therefore we are committed to support, value and nurture their growth and development while respecting their uniqueness, dignity, beliefs, ethnicity, culture, gender and ability. As a teacher I believe I can play an important role in the learning and development of the children by providing positive interaction and support. I strive to adopt this approach in my teaching and believe that by working in partnership with staff and parents whānau, greater all round development can be achieved.
Hi my name is Donna. I have worked at 4woods since February 2012 and work in the over 2 room. I have enjoyed my time here at 4woods very much. I have met some wonderful people and made lots of long-time friends. I completed a diploma in early childcare through Waiariki Institute of Technology and graduated in 2006. I love spending time with my friends and family doing things like going to the movies, barbeques, camping, charter fishing and trapping and hunting possums. If there is anything you would like to know about me or have questions please come and talk to me at the centre.
Hi, my name is Michelle. In 2010 I was a student teacher at 4woods. I then started as a relief teacher before becoming a fulltime teacher in 2011. Since then I have completed my ECE teacher training and am now fully registered. My passion in teaching is seeing children succeed and watching them achieve their ‘light bulb’ moments. I love helping children to build up their confidence and ability to master a task that they have been working on. I believe that family is very important in early childcare. I enjoy talking with families and finding out about what their child likes doing at home or any special things they do so that I can help to foster these interests here at childcare.
Hi my name is Simona and I have worked in early childcare for over 30 years in various different capacities from nannying and home based care to centre work. I love seeing the wonder through a child's eyes and I am passionate about developing literacy, creativity and imagination through storytelling and art. My goal as a teacher is to make your child feel safe to explore, free to express themselves and to help and grow their self esteem by encouraging them to reach their goals. I have taught at 4woods since January 2015 and thoroughly enjoy being part of the friendly 4woods whanau. I feel lucky to work in such a positive and happy environment.
